The WÜSTHOF design knife block in beautiful thermo-beech wood comes from the design workshop of designer Henning Gaulke. The knives are protected from dulling and yet always at hand on the kitchen counter.

Thermo wood production

Selected types of wood can be treated using a very simple method that uses natural principles. In this case, it is beech wood that has been heat treated at 180 to 220 °C. As a result, it has acquired a beautiful dark brown shade, its texture has become stronger and more durable. Thermized wood does not change shape or size. As an unforgettable bonus, it repels water and is resistant to fungal attack. It is impregnated using a natural method, without the use of a protective layer. Ideal for working in the kitchen.
