Detailed information

Product detailed description

The lyre-shaped Amadeo decanter was introduced in 2017 and refers by name to the Austrian composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, who would have celebrated 250 years since his birth in 2006, the year the Amadeo series was created. In the same year, Riedel celebrated its 250th anniversary.

The handmade and optically blown decanter is decorated with a black line. Optical glassblowing originated in Venice, the cradle of the most modern glassblowing techniques. The decanter has a two-chamber shape, which speeds up the decanting of the wine as it rests in 2 chambers. When pouring, it is then aerated in the first chamber so that a quantity ideal for serving flows into the second chamber.

Fatto and Mano Collection

Fatto a Mano - literally translated from Italian as "made by hand". The production of this new series is based on the traditional methods of the Italian glassmakers from the Venice area and thus retains the charm of a glass manufactory with a rich tradition.

Georg Riedel, representative of the brand's 10th generation, set out to achieve a colourful celebration of wine serving in all its glory with the Fatto a Mano collection. The unique stems are not only pleasing to the eye, but when you touch them, you can directly feel the human aspect put into them during the handmade process.
