Johann Willsberger is an Austrian photographer, author and journalist known primarily for his "food photography". Among other things, he put a unique face on Gourmet magazine (an international food and wine magazine), which he founded in 1976 together with Karin Krüger and Hans Heinrich Ziemann and which was one of the most influential food & wine publications in the German-speaking world until 2001. Willsberger designed the wine glass collection in 1982.

German brand Spiegelau with almost 500 years of crystal processing tradition offers a diverse palette of wine glasses, tasting glasses, special glasses for specific types of spirits, or glasses for non-alcoholic beverages for daily use. It is, however, particularly well-known for its unique beer glasses. The assortment also includes a range of decanters, pitchers and decanters.

The first-class quality of Spiegelau glasses is guaranteed by a combination of manufacturing processes and technical know-how. The glasses are also extremely durable: an independent laboratory guarantees that even after 1,500 cycles in the dishwasher, they remain free of scratches and damage and do not lose their shine.

The long lifespan and resistance of the glasses to breakage are largely due to the so-called Platinum Glass process. During production, molten glass passes through platinized tubes, which removes all impurities and irregularities. The result of this relatively expensive technology is a glass that remarkably combines elegance, functionality and durability.

All Spiegelau glasses are made from lead-free crystal with a special composition that guarantees long durability, resistance to dishwashing and breakage, and also greater shine compared to glasses made from cheaper glass variants.
