Pocket knife N°08 8,5 cm, beech wood, with sheath, Opinel

Product detailed description

The Opinel N°08 is one of those things that doesn't need ten functions and a flashing screen to make sense. Just keep it close at hand and you will quickly realise how many small tasks you used to solve with unnecessarily complicated methods.

Main advantages:

• The Opinel N°08 Inox folding knife with sheath is a versatile companion for everyday use, trips, camping and other outdoor activities.
• The 8.5 cm long blade offers a practical size for slicing food, preparing snacks and various small tasks while travelling.
• Martensitic stainless steel of European origin with a hardness of 55-57 HRC provides high sharpness, mechanical resistance and very good protection against corrosion.
• The blade's high resistance to wear helps maintain a quality cut even with regular contact with harder materials before needing resharpening.
• The classic Yatagan-type blade has a slightly raised tip and a convex profile, which supports the strength of the blade and allows for efficient resharpening.
• The varnished beech wood handle fits comfortably in the hand and preserves the characteristic natural look of traditional Opinel folding knives.
• The PEFC-certified beech wood comes from ecologically managed forests in the Jura and Vercors regions and excels in hardness and durability.
• The varnished surface helps protect the wooden handle from moisture and dirt during regular use at home and during outdoor activities.
• The 10.9 cm handle provides plenty of space for a comfortable grip and confident handling of the knife during various practical activities.
• The Virobloc safety ring allows the blade to be locked in the open position during use and in the closed position for safer carrying.
• The stainless steel Virobloc features a fixed and a sliding section, allowing you to secure the chosen blade position with a simple twist of the safety ring as needed.
• The set includes a practical sheath that protects the knife during transport and allows it to be attached to a belt.
• The versatile design of the N°08 model is well suited for bivouacking, sports activities, fishing and hunting, and also serves well in everyday life.
• Under normal conditions, the stainless steel blade does not require special maintenance, but it is advisable to avoid prolonged exposure to acids, salt water and detergents.
• The knife is made in France and preserves the traditional Opinel design that made the N°08 model one of the brand's most famous pocket knives.
