Pocket knife N°08 8,5 cm, ebony wood, in a gift box, Opinel

Product detailed description

This elegant pocket knife has one drawback: once you lend it to someone, you have to subtly watch to make sure you actually get it back. The ebony N°08 looks good enough to cause temporary memory loss in some of your acquaintances.

Main advantages:

• The Opinel N°08 folding knife from the Luxury range represents an elegant take on the iconic model, featuring a deep black ebony handle and a mirror-polished blade.
• The 8.5 cm blade offers a versatile size for everyday use, trips, preparing snacks and small outdoor tasks.
• Martensitic stainless steel of European origin with a hardness of 55-57 HRC provides high sharpness, mechanical resistance and good protection against corrosion.
• The blade's high resistance to wear helps maintain a quality cut over the long term, even with regular contact with harder materials during use.
• Double polishing creates a striking mirror effect on the blade, highlighting the premium craftsmanship of this more elegant version of the classic N°08 model.
• The African ebony handle stands out with its deep black colour, high density, and a velvety surface created by the manual application of special wax.
• Ebony is one of the rare luxury wood types and, thanks to its characteristic dark colour, is traditionally also used in the production of high-quality marquetry.
• The 10.9 cm handle provides plenty of space for a comfortable grip and confident handling of the knife during various practical activities.
• The Virobloc safety ring allows the blade to be locked in the open position during work and in the closed position during carrying.
• The stainless steel Virobloc consists of a fixed and a sliding part, so you can secure the chosen blade position by simply turning the ring as needed.
• Under normal conditions, the stainless steel blade requires no special maintenance and offers a practical combination of sharpness, durability and easy care.
• During use, it is advisable to avoid prolonged contact of the blade with acids, salt water or aggressive cleaning agents.
• The black ebony and shiny blade give the N°08 model a prestigious character, making it also serve well as a valuable gift for any lover of high-quality knives.
• The knife is made in France and preserves the traditional Opinel construction in a premium design focused on select materials and an elegant appearance.
