The large shallow plate from the Matt collection by MIJ is handmade from durable natural ceramic, which does not contain harmful impurities or heavy metals. It is made by japanese masters whose tradition dates back to the 12th century. The paints are of high quality, do not peel off and also do not contain any harmful substances.
MIJ products are thus suitable for both the dishwasher and the microwave. MIJ Japanese ceramics have been used in restaurants for more than 30 years and their quality and durability is so thoroughly confirmed. The ceramics are directly imported from Japan.
The crockery from the Matt collection is finished in a matt finish and in black and grey. The edges are finished with a glossy glaze which contrasts beautifully with the matt centre. Some of the cookware from the Matt collection has a semi-gloss finish and where the matt finish meets the gloss finish, an interesting effect occurs that resembles free-flowing paint.
