UBRD's history and philosophy

Established in the Czech Republic in 2014 by two friends Jiří and Vojtěch. They asked a renowned designer Petr Novague to work for them and soon the company succeeded and won the international iF DESIGN AWARD, followed immediately by the Red Dot Design Award. UBRD Bevel - practical kitchen set consisting of a cutting board and a magnetic knife stand - won European Product Design Award and other awards for its functional design. These awards have helped them get noticed by customers who love UBRD products - cutting boards, knife blocks, bottle openers, trays and other kitchen accessories made from the highest quality wood.

The founders of UBRD were inspired by the rich tradition of woodworking in the Czech Republic. They wanted to create a brand that combined this tradition with modern design principles and a commitment to sustainability.
